Mathex Competition
Four of our standout math teams headed to the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium at Kohimarama to take on the region's best in the annual Mathex competition.
Mathex is a high-intensity race against the clock where teams of four have just 30 minutes to crack 20 challenging mathematics problem-solving questions. With runners sprinting back and forth between markers and markers constantly scoring answers, the arena was filled with incredible energy and focus.
Our school was represented by two Year 7 teams and two Year 8 teams. All four teams rose to the challenge, showing brilliant focus, speed, and strategic teamwork under pressure. Their hard work paid off in a big way—delivering our school's best overall Mathex results in the last 5 years!
It was a fantastic evening of excitement, sportsmanship, and academic excellence. Congratulations to all of our Year 7 and 8 mathematicians for representing our school so brilliantly! Thank you to our parent supporters, we could not have done it without you.
