SEZ Debating

Our debating team placed second in the SEZ Debating Competition hosted by BBI

They started strong, winning their first debate against BBI on the motion “that Private firework displays should be banned in New Zealand.” Their outstanding arguments and public speaking earned them top scores and a spot in the final impromptu round.

In the final, they presented a compelling case against the motion “That the voting age should be lowered to 14 years.” Although Sancta Maria ultimately took home the trophy, our team gave an exceptional performance and made us very proud.
