Hillary Ambury Farm Trip

As part of our unit on adaptation, Hillary Whānau visited Ambury Farm this week to explore how animals and agricultural practices have evolved over time.

During the trip, students examined the development of essential farming techniques, including milking and crutching. They also gained practical insight into farm infrastructure, learning how electric fencing functions, how water troughs are connected via piping systems, and how water levels are maintained.

Alongside these educational demonstrations, students enjoyed hands-on experiences feeding lambs and interacting with various farm animals. Overall, it was an exceptionally valuable trip. We extend our sincere gratitude to all parent volunteers whose support made this day possible.
